T3 Foundation Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Selçuk Bayraktar Visited the Earthquake Zone

We are together in healing our wounds on the anniversary of the century's disaster, continuing to heal together

With our volunteers, we have been carrying out relief efforts in the earthquake-stricken areas since day one, continuing to bring smiles to children's faces and provide both morale and educational support. Our foundation, with the help of our volunteers, has touched a total of 120,018 affected children in 13 locations in Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Hatay, Gaziantep, and Malatya from February to June. Additionally, we visited the earthquake zone with 8 initiatives from TEKNOFEST and conducted interactive activities with the products developed by these initiatives in T3 Foundation's game and activity tents. Furthermore, the Adıyaman Education and Science Workshop, the Kahramanmaraş BAYKAR Education and Science Workshop, the Necip Fazıl Education and Science Workshop, and the Hatay Education and Science Workshop, which were established as educational workshops in the earthquake zone, have become continuous education centers as of December. Approximately 1000 students have received 828 hours of training from 33 trainers in the earthquake zone education workshops so far.

Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, Chairperson of the T3 Foundation Board of Directors, Assoc. Dr. Fatih Yavuz, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Can Sağlığı Foundation, and their delegation visited the earthquake zone on the anniversary of the major disaster. They visited the Adıyaman K2-B, Kahramanmaraş BAYKAR container city, and the Hatay Katar-2 container city, as well as the T3 Foundation Science Tent, chatting with the affected citizens and children in the workshops and receiving information about the work done. Selçuk Bayraktar said in a statement to journalists: "In 2023, we were shaken by two major earthquakes recorded on earth. Besides all this pain and destruction, we saw that our nation showed the same solidarity it showed 100 years ago with the Gallipoli spirit. We, along with our volunteer friends from BAYKAR, Turkish Technology Team Foundation, and Can Sağlığı Foundation, also mobilized. Our fieldwork has been ongoing since that day. As BAYKAR, we started working to build permanent housing and donate them to our state and nation. A total of 1012 houses are being built. The ongoing constructions in 3 of our cities will hopefully be completed; the houses in Adıyaman in May, those in Kahramanmaraş in June-July, and those in Hatay around August, and we will hand them over to our state. In addition to these, Turkish Technology Team Foundation has experiential workshops and science tents. Education is provided to our student siblings here. TEKNOFEST 2024 will be held in Adana, and we have young people preparing for it. Despite all this pain and destruction, there is a warm solidarity and effort. Can Sağlığı Foundation, our psychological support units, volunteer doctors, and volunteers continue their efforts to find solutions and support for this traumatic process. We will continue to be in solidarity with the region, support our citizens in the region, and contribute to the education and social lives of our children."
